Boston Massacre Reenactment Video

The direct result of British policies in the colonies was growing discontent among the population. The situation even escalated to open confrontations between colonists and the British authorities. One of such confrontations was the famous Boston Massacre event which is being reenacted in this video.

Molasses Act of 1773

This was one of the first decisions of British Parliament that gave a real boost to organizes smuggling in New England colonies. Simultaneously it promoted corruption among customs officials. To crack down colonial trade with countries other than Britain, especially France the government created a new tax of sixpense per gallon of molasses.
