About us

The Stamp Act History website has been created by the University of Massachusetts History Club. Our objective is to provide history enthusiasts and students with facts and in-depth information on British and American actions and reactions to British taxation on its colonies. Our starting point is the Stamp Act which is thought to have triggered the independence mood. Our focus is objectivity and we present both views, the American and the British.

Other media supporting this website are portraits and illustrations of landmarks and historical events as well as statistical data to support evidence.
